Start your HourBack pilot
Set up your account, accept the Terms, choose your pilot settings and get the install steps to your team or your IT contact. It takes about ten minutes.
What happens next
- Accept the Terms for your company.
- Choose the pilot settings: which team, whether reports show people by name or by role only, and anything to exclude.
- Install: do it yourself, or send the steps to your IT contact.
- Your pilot starts as soon as people install and join.

Start the pilot
Starting creates your pilot code. Nothing is recorded until people install HourBack and join, and you can end the pilot at any time.

One computer at a time
- Run
HourBackSetup.exeon the person's computer. It installs for that user only; no admin rights needed. - They enter the pilot code and their work email, and click Join pilot.
- The HourBack icon appears by the clock, where they can pause, switch to private mode or delete the last hour.
Everyone at once (Intune or another deployment tool)
Deploy the installer to run in the signed-in user's context with:
/AUTOENROLLjoins each person with their Windows work sign-in, so nobody types anything. Their sign-in's email domain must be one of . Leave it off to have people confirm their email on first launch.- HourBack starts at sign-in and uploads over HTTPS to
api.hourback.io(port 443). - To remove it:
"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\HourBack\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT, or Apps & features. Removing it deletes the activity log on that computer.
Before installing, tell your people about the pilot and which settings apply. That's your company's responsibility under the Terms; we're happy to share a sample announcement: hello@hourback.io.
People
Who has joined the pilot and whether their HourBack app is running. Apps check in about once an hour, so a status can be up to an hour old.
